The performance is a tribute to an outstanding composer and pianist, whose works and piano performances inspired Magdalena Owczarek, assistant professor at the Academy of Music in Łódź, to embody music in stage performance.

The performance is an artistic reflection on relations between people in the contemporary world. It was developed as a performance taking place in various spaces.

The premiere of the performance took place on 27 January 2024 at the Hilary Majewski Tenement House (11 Włókiennicza Street in Łódź), which belongs to the inLodz21 Cultural Institution. The next performance took place on 17 May 2024 at the Palace of the Academy of Music in Lodz.

A root, a stone, a circle are the symbols from which the metaphors presented in the stage images are built. Metaphors about life, its transience, the hardship of wandering, about difficult relationships between people, troubled times and aggression.

The rolling wheel is a metaphor for the passing of life, the human journey, which is not always easy and often encounters obstacles.

The root is the beginning, the source of life, it is the split between earth and heaven. The root needs to be nurtured, not destroyed.

Stone – an ambiguous symbol, often a sign of permanence, stability, sometimes a source of creation (as proven by Zygmunt Krauze’s use of stones in his instrumentation); but it can also be an obstacle on the paths of life and a tool of aggression.

These metaphors do not show a friendly and happy world, because today’s world is not like that. There are wars in the world, more and more aggression, human relationships are becoming more and more disturbed.
