Elegy 2022
For piano, violin and cello

An elegy is a mourning song. In this piece, it is expressed not with moaning and sadness, but rather with shouting, pain and anger. It expresses discord. The war continues uninterrupted, if not in this part of the globe, then in another. But when it is close – it hurts more.

In the song is quoted, a little deformed, but authentic melody from the Red Rus. This is a land that through the centuries was part of Rus, Russia, Hungary, Poland, Austria, Ukraine. It symbolizes hope.

Elegy 2022 is a one-movement piece with a duration of about 10 minutes, composed for the ensemble Trio Palladio from Riga.
