details:

‘And there is still the ”Five Songs” to the poetry of Tadeusz Różewicz (2000), very expressive and noble in character, Romantic in spirit, although with a little bit of impressionistic deposit. The songs (both those more expanded and the shorter, more homogeneous ones) constitute surprisingly suitable tonal equivalents of the contents, moods and images conveyed by the poetic word. The music of the “Five Songs”‘ convincingly harmonizes in various ways with the rich world of the existential problems of Różewicz’s poems, and the spirit of the French song of the turn of the ages hovers over the line of the baritone, when it amazes and delights out of a sudden with with a cantilena phrase’.
