During the next edition of the flagship festival of contemporary music in the Czech Republic – Expozice nové hudby – Zygmunt Krauze will present his music twice.
On June 22, 2021 at 19:00 at Besední dům (Komenského náměstí 534/8, Brno), the composer-pianist will perform the recital Improvisation on Chopin with the following program:
Fryderyk Chopin – Mazurka in A minor Op. 67 No. 4 with improvisation
Zygmunt Krauze – 6 Folk Melodies
Fryderyk Chopin – Polonaise in E-flat minor Op. 26 No. 2 with improvisation
Zygmunt Krauze – Nightmare Tango
Fryderyk Chopin – Nocturne in E sharp major Op. 55 No. 2 with improvisation
Zygmunt Krauze – Refrain
Fryderyk Chopin – Ballade in F major Op. 38 with improvisation
Zygmunt Krauze – Stone Music
Then, for the finale of the Festival, we will hear Zygmunt Krauze’s Piano Concerto No. 3, where the composer will also appear as soloist. It will also be the premiere performance of this work in the version with percussion. The program for the final concert on June 27, 2021, at 19:00 (Brno, Besední dům, Komenského náměstí 534/8) is as follows:
