The album “Konteksty” is nominated for the Fryderyk 2025 award!

“Konteksty” – an album of music by Zygmunt Krauze recorded by the Spółdzielnia Muzyczna Contemporary Ensemble with the composer as pianist-performer and released by DUX, has been nominated for this year’s Fryderyk Award in the “Album of the Year, Contemporary Music” category. The award gala will be held at the NOSPR in Katowice on March 30.

Zygmunt Krauze’s “Konteksty” is a monographic album that fits unusually broadly into the rich and varied panorama of chamber music of the 20th and 21st centuries. It features works from several periods of Krauze’s oeuvre – from the early period, presenting the style of French modernism, to the most recent works, created between 2022 and 2023. The recordings were made in the concert hall of the Grażyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz Academy of Music in Lodz, with Krzysztof Sztekmiler as the sound engineer.
